the artist
Stella Dimitrova is a Bulgarian artist based in Helsinki. Her work explores color in all its forms: from moody hues to bright vibrant colors; combined with tactile textures and bold marks. With background in fashion illustration, she takes inspiration from modern art, nature, female form and graphic prints.

Meet Stella
​
Among her influences are Impressionist artists (favorite is Vanh Gogh), Chinese traditional ink work with minimalist approach and Japenese color schemes. She is interested in mindfulness exploration and strives to apply the principles of intentionality and simplicity in her work.
Stella works with a variety of wet and dry media, as well as digital work, and is always exploring new techniques and mediums. Current favorites are gouache, Chinese sumi wtercolor and acrylic ink.
Stella has reached the finals of the FIDA Worldwide Fashion Illustration Awards. She has exhibited at the FIDA ‘Ultramarine’ Exhibition of Fashion Illustration at the prestigious Istituto Marangoni in Miami.
